What is Kintsugi?

Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art form where broken pottery is repaired using gold, highlighting the beauty in imperfection. The repaired pottery becomes more valuable than it was before it was damaged.

Why Kintsugi Church?

We believe the Christian life is similar to kintsugi: like damaged pottery, we are all broken by our own sin and the world around us. When we bring that brokenness to Jesus, He puts us back together, and His light shines through where the cracks once were, making us even more beautiful than if we bore no cracks. The very things we’ve been broken by serve to display our Maker’s glory.

What kind of place is KCC?

With the idea of kintsugi in mind, we strive to be a place where those carrying heavy burdens can find a home. We hope to foster a family where we share our authentic selves and point one another to Christ for healing.
